OREANDA-NEWS. June 17, 2011. At the 2011 FTChinese-Qingdao International Finance Forum held on June 10, Bank of China was the only commercial bank that won the Best Product Innovation Award in China's Banking Industry.

With continuous efforts on product and service innovation in recent years, Bank of China has enriched the variety and number of its wealth management products available on the market. It has sold nearly 400 wealth management products in the first half of this year, an increase of 66% over the same period of last year and has, according to statistics, taken a lead in the industry in terms of sales volume of wealth management products in the first quarter of this year.

In addition to developing general wealth management products, Bank of China is currently pushing forward product R&D in the special fields like artwork, red wine and stock index futures and will soon market these products to customers with special needs.

The UK-based Financial Times, partnering with Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, started for the first time in China the professional appraisal of China's financial sector last year. Bank of China was awarded the Best Private Bank in 2010 China Banking Industry Achievement Award Category.
