Recently, the project of “development and manufacturing technology of wide cold-rolled deep drawing high strength IF steel” carried out by Wisco got through scientific and technological achievement evaluation organized by Hubei provincial science and technology department, and proved to reach international leading level.

Based on higher strength, cold-rolled deep drawing high strength IF steel WH180Y and WIF340, developed independently by Wisco, possess excellent deep drawability, which can fully satisfy the requirements of higher strength and deep drawability by automotive inner and outer covering parts, and are also in accordance with the direction of heading towards weight reduction, safety and low carbon for auto sector nowadays. Using cold-rolled deep drawing high strength IF steel, WISCO produced 2050 mm extra-wide auto sheet which is now the widest among domestic cold-rolled products. At present, IF steel has been successfully applied to many middle-end and high-end automobile manufacturers, mainly used to fabricate inner and outer covering parts and deep drawing structure parts for sedan car, SUV and BPV, with prominent economic and social benefits.
