According to the joint notice from 14 departments including Development and Reform Commission, 2011 annual energy-saving publicity week will be unfolded throughout the country from June 11 to 17 with the theme of "Take energy-saving actions, lead a new low-carbon life". During the week, Baosteel will carry out various content-rich activities according to the requirement of the notice to demonstrate its innovative technologies and achievements in energy saving and create an atmosphere of all-member participating in energy saving and emission reduction.

During the energy saving publicity week, Baosteel will attend the activities of opening ceremony of Shanghai energy saving publicity week, conduct unveiling ceremony of Energy Service Company and energy management contract signing ceremony. At the same time, Baosteel will also participate in the publication of relevant information, organize to visit "Energy saving" supermarket and "Energy efficiency improvement, low carbon development" forum and other activities. Besides, Baosteel will organize to take part in contract energy management conference, communication meeting for project information and other activities, such as energy saving forum, communication meeting of energy saving technology and product, and exhibition of works on popular science from teenagers, etc. As the highlight activity, Baosteel will set an exhibition booth on the "2011 Shanghai International Energy saving and Emission Reduction Exposition" and organize its employees to visit the exposition.            

In order to create an atmosphere of all-member participating, Baosteel will organize its employees to participate in Shanghai energy saving quiz and hold seminars of "Contract energy management policy and Baosteel practice" and "Carbon dioxide emission reduction", etc. In addition, Baosteel will put the poster of "Energy saving publicity week activity" onto the home page of Baosteel Group website. Youth league members will also publish a proposal on the "Bridge" forum with the theme of "Practice the Four-one" to appeal to young people to take actions for low-carbon and environmentally friendly "Green" life.
