OREANDA-NEWS. June 15, 2011. TVEL (Rosatom Fuel Company) and Rosnano are planning to create a production on the application of nanostructure coatings for the nuclear power industry.

The presentation of the cooperative project was held in Atomexpo-2011 international forum.
A project company with the capital of 200 mln roubles, from which Rosnano invests 39% (78 mln roubles), 51% (102 mln roubles) are to be invested by A.A. Bochvar Academician All-Russian Research Institute of Inorganic Materials OJSC (VNIINM) and 10% (20 mln roubles) by Plackart CJSC. Rosnano acts as the project financial co-investor, Plackart acts as a co-investor, and VNIINP is the project applicant party and research supervisor. The project planned income in 215 is over 400 mln roubles..

The project has already been approved by Rosnano Board of Directors. The realization of the technology of high speed methods of nanostructure coatings application in vacuum, shielding atmosphere and in air is the project basis. VNIINM is the technology developer. The technology of high speed gas-thermal evaporation, developed by Plackart, is also planned to be used in the project.

 The development of the shielding coatings technology, foundation of a project company and all the corporate procedures of the bargain are planned to be accomplished in 2011. The yield of pull capacity is planned beginning with 2013. The scientific and technical centre of the project will be created in Moscow on the basis of VNIINP.

The enterprises of the nuclear power industry, such as Novosibirsk Plant of Chemical Concentrates, AECC, SCC, Ural Electrochemical Plant and others are the potential markets for the project.
