ABC Holds China e-Commerce Growth Summit Forum
OREANDA-NEWS. June 10, 2011. Recently, in cooperation with the Ministry of Commerce and the Southern Weekend, Agricultural Bank of China Limited (ABC) successfully held the China e-Commerce Growth Summit Forum in Beijing, reported the press-centre of ABC.
This forum was attended by guests from the relevant government agencies, industrial organizations, e-Commerce enterprises and e-Commerce research institutions. With the subject on "innovation-based growth, sound development", the forum focused on the development trend, policy focuses, application and dissemination, and other important and hot issues of e-Commerce. Mr. Yang Kun, Executive Director and Executive Vice President of ABC, attended and addressed the forum.
Mr. Yang Kun pointed out that e-Commerce had become the mainstream business model and would become an irreversible trend of the overall socioeconomic development. E-payment, as the substantial prerequisite and basic condition for the development of e-Commerce, will definitely promote the further prosperity and growth of e-Commerce. ABC has the largest customer base holding bank card around the globe, the most wide-spread outlet resources nationwide, 130 million e-Banking customers and strong capital strength. Based on these and along with the advanced technical platform, strict risk control mechanism and professional service team, ABC has been conducting exploration and innovation in the field of payment in connection with e-Commerce. In seven years from the official launch of B2C service in 2004 to the new generation of e-Commerce payment system including B2C, B2B and online trading market, e-Commerce has experienced a leap-forward development from nonexistence and become the strategic core business for ABC in the development of financial innovation, deepening bank-enterprise cooperation and promoting its competitiveness.
In addition, relevant officials from the Department of Information Technology of the Ministry of Commerce, Circulation Industry Promotion Center of the Ministry of Commerce, Nanfang Media Group and e-Banking Department of ABC attended the forum and made speeches. ABC also discussed fervently with persons in charge of e-Commerce in enterprises such as VANCL, Joyo Amazon and Haier regarding the application of e-Commerce in enterprises. In the mean time, Analysys International and DCCI Internet Data Center published their reports on industrial trend with respect to e-Commerce development case study and the research project on customer satisfaction and public image. The forum was also witnessed by news media such as Xinhua News Agency, China National Radio and People's Daily.
