OREANDA-NEWS. June 10, 2011. In March-May 2011 TNK-ВР delivered to farms in the Saratov Region 44 thousand tons of diesel fuel at preferential prices, which allowed farmers to save twice the amount of funds they did in the same period of last year, reported the press-centre of TNK-ВР.      

This was the message of the letter from the Saratov Region Governor Pavel Ignatov sent to TNK-BP executives. The Governor expressed his gratitude to the company for uninterrupted supplies of fuel at preferential prices during the spring sowing season.

Since the start of operations in the Saratov region in 2004, TNK-ВР has been selling diesel fuel at a discount to local agricultural producers. The fuel is supplied under an agreement between the Company and the Saratov Region Government. The agreement provides for the delivery of 125 thousand tons of fuels at a discount in 2011 from oil tank farms of OJSC Saratovnefteproduct (TNK-BP subsidiary) to agricultural companies.

The discounted diesel fuel is supplied from March to late November.
