OREANDA-NEWS. June 10, 2011. In order to improve application of corporate standards and ensure dynamic development of the bank, “Ata Bank” OJSC is planning to receive international credit rating by the end of the current year, reported the press-centre of Ata Bank.

The Bank intends to receive rating on bank loans, liabilities and risks. Necessary decisions were made by the Supervisory Board of “AtaBank”, and negotiations with three international rating agencies such as Fitch Ratings, Moody’s and Standard & Poor’s have already started. Assignment of the rating is an indicator of bank’s financial stability, availability of sound loan portfolio and high bank solvency.

Furthermore, this international assessment will enable “Ata Bank” to attract free cash flow from both local and international markets and ensure sustainable and comprehensive development in the future. It must be noted that assignation of top degree ratings to the organizations and companies by the international rating agencies is limited within the country and only few local banks in the market received international credit rating.
