OREANDA-NEWS. June 10, 2011. Bakcell, the first mobile operator in Azerbaijan, continues expanding, developing and optimising its network. Well-targeted investments have led to a rapid increase in network coverage and the ability to offer its customers the highest quality of service. With over 2400 sites and in excess 17,000 transceivers in operation, network coverage extends to more than 90% of the country’s territory, including many remote regions where some networks fail to offer service. Bakcell’s network services more than 98% of the population offering the most comprehensive network experience for mobile customers in Azerbaijan, reported the press-centre of Bakcell.

The number of Bakcell subscribers that use mobile phone services daily has exceeded 2.5 million and this number continues to grow rapidly. The higher capacity of the Bakcell network enables it to handle higher volumes of calls at better quality and with a stronger signal without any service interruption. In addition, Bakcell’s network provides mobile data and mobile internet services nationwide. Bakcell has made data services available to all Azerbaijan unlike some networks who restrict it to limited coverage.
