OREANDA-NEWS. June 10, 2011. Tatneft - AZS Zapad (West) started up a floating filling station (FFS) in Kalyazin town (Tver region), reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.     

Opening of TATNEFT’s floating filling station was timed to the first regional yachting festival "Kalyazin Bay of Joy" on the shore of the Uglich Water Reservoir. The new floating fuel station will not only solve the problem of refueling boats and yachts on the Volga, but it will be, as Sergey Aristov, Deputy Governor of Tver region, said at the festival opening: "the impetus for the development of water tourism and the revival of sailing on the Volga River".

The festival program sponsored by TATNEFT Company was a hard-driving one. In addition to the grand opening of the floating filling station, it also included sailing exhibition performance of Kalyazin sports school, yacht boat parade, musical entertainment program, lottery, cruise along the Volga, and many other events. The performance of the "Russian style" ballet show was a real thrill of the festivity.

The new floating fuel station of TATNEFT is located in Kalyazin town, Tver region, Rybzavod settlement of the Water Uglich Reservoir, "Kalyazin” Yachting Club. The natural bay of the Volga River, where the FFS is located, is protected from winds and storms and it is a good place for arranging a pontoon docks and mooring of vessels on the water. The depth of the bay is up to eight meters and it allows admitting and servicing any vessels.

Besides the new opened floating filling station the branch of Tatneft - AZS West has in operation FFS No. 195 in Mytishchi district of Moscow region within the Pirogov Reservoir in the water area of the "New Beach" yacht club (10, Verkhnyaya Pribrezhnaya Str.,.Boltino village).

Two floating filling stations are located within the Baltic branch of Tatneft - AZS West area of responsibility: No.396, 19, Uralskaya Str., Vasilevsky Ostrov, St. Petersburg, and No. 395, Fort Constantine Kronstadt, Leningrad region.

Petrol of AI-95 grade and diesel fuel of Euro category are sold at TATNEFT floating filling stations. The FFS provides the opportunity to fill jerry cans and detachable tanks of the water vessels eliminating the risk of fuel contamination of the environment. The civilized solution of the vessels fueling issue improves the water condition in rivers.
