OREANDA-NEWS. June 9, 2011. In May 2011, Pulkovo Airport served 830 162 passengers, 11.5% more than during the same period in 2010. Passenger turnover at international airlines (outside CIS) during the month made up 383 157 persons, to exceed number of passengers carried in May 2010 by 10.2%.

Compared to last year, turnover of domestic airlines kept growing. It made up 362 794 passengers and increased by 6.4% against May 2010. Number of passengers traveling to CIS destinations increased by 49.9%, totaling at 84 211 persons.

During 5 months of 2011 Pulkovo Airport served 3 091 740 passengers, 14.9% more than in the same period of 2010 гoдa, split as follows:

Passenger turnover at international airlines (outside CIS) during 5 months of 2011 made up 1 178 271 persons, with number of carried passengers increased by 8.0%, compared to 5 months of 2010.

Passenger turnover at domestic airlines totaled at 1 585 210 persons, 14.6% more than during the same period in 2010.

Number of passengers who traveled to CIS destinations increased by 52.7%, totaling at 328 259 persons.

During 5 months of 2011, number of takeoff and landing operations grew by 18.6%, totaling at 41 379. The volume of handled gross takeoff weight (GTOW) was 1 329 772 tons, having increased by 14.5% against the same period in 2010.
