June 09, 2011. “Forget everything that came before, give up the stereotypes totally… forget about norms and think differently”, such is the definition of success by one of most brilliant personalities in the world of business, world famous economist Dr. Kjell A. Nordstrom (Sweden) who spoke in May at a Clients’ Conference held by Baltic International Bank in Riga, reported the press-centre of Baltic International Bank.

During the lecture Dr. Nordstrom in his own unique manner touched on issues such as conditions of making business in our changing world, the skill to forecast the development of events and work principles leading to success. After an interesting lecture the conference members could take part in a discussion with the lecturer and also with the not less known TV reporter Alexander Lyubimov (Russia).

Dr. K. A. Nordstrom works at the International Business Institute at the Stockholm School of Economics. As a researcher and advisor, he has been dealing with the issues of corporate strategy and globalization for many years, as well as being a board member in a number of Norwegian, Swedish and American companies and advisor to several big transnational corporations, such as Volvo, Pharmacia and Ericsson.

In 2009 Kjell Nordstrom was No. 23 in Thinkers 50, a biennial rating of the most influential world business thinkers, and entered the top five most influential business personalities in Europe. He is the author of bestsellers Funky Business - Talent makes capital dance; Karaoke Capitalism: Management for Mankind; Funky Business Forever. Due to the dynamic style of his appearances he is recognized as one of the most sought after speakers all over the world.

In turn, the moderator of the discussion, Russian TV reporter Alexander Lyubimov is known as the author and producer of many TV programmes as well as of several movies and television serials. Having picked up a number of honourable awards for his many years of activity and development of Russian telebroadcasting, in December 2007 he was appointed to the position of First Deputy General Director of the Television Channel “Russia”.
