OREANDA-NEWS. June 08, 2011. The passenger traffic of the Chisinau International Airport in January-May totaled 338,012 people, up 15.9 percent against the same period last year. According to its administration, particularly, in May 2011 the International Airport of Chisinau served 95,338 passengers, up 15.2% against May 2010.

The most significant growth of the passenger flow was seen by the flights to Kiev (+136.6%), Munich (+110.1%), Surgut (+108.4%), Madrid (+61.7%), Paris (+43.2%) and Vienna (+41.485). The most popular flights are Moscow (23.19% of the total volume), Istanbul (11.75%), Antalya (9.15%), Munich (5.77%), Verona (5.54%).

The International Airport of Chisinau is the main air gates of Moldova. 17 airlines currently fulfill flights from the Airport of Chisinau to 31 directions worldwide. 13 foreign airlines and 4 national transporters are among the partners. In 2010, the International Airport of Chisinau served 937,030 passengers.
