OREANDA-NEWS. June 08, 2011. Moldova and Ukraine plan to open a new joint terminal of crossing the Moldovan-Ukrainian border Unguri-Bronita. The project is valued at 18.46 million euros, taking into account construction of local roads, according to the Customs Service of Moldova.

The agreement on implementation of this project was reached by the Customs Services of Moldova and Ukraine, which signed the respective protocol on intentions of cooperation. It is stipulated that the project will be totally funded by the European Commission which will provide equal amounts to Moldova and Ukraine for its implementation.

The project will be implemented in the context of the two countries’ efforts to reform their customs infrastructure in line with the European Union’s standards.
