TNK-BP Held Regular Meetings of Conflict Resolution Commissions
OREANDA-NEWS. June 08, 2011. TNK-BP held regular meetings of conflict resolution commissions in the regions of its activity to consider and handle the complaints of contractors and suppliers related to tender procedures, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.
Conflict resolution commissions started their work in late 2010 as one of the constituent parts of TNK-BP’s new supplier and contractor interaction philosophy. The main principle of this philosophy is creation of conditions favorable for a productive dialog, exchange of views, and development of an open, transparent and comfortable business environment.
So far, conflict resolution commissions have received 31 complaints, 24 of which are considered and resolved. 10 cases were resolved in favor of contractors and suppliers, which points to the actual commitment of the company to fair and unbiased analysis of disputes and discrepancies. In their decisions, conflict resolution commissions are guided by the Regulations on Regional Councils and Conflict Resolution Commissions and the current contracting procedures of the company.
Regional conflict resolution commissions work in the key regions of activity of TNK-BP and meet at least once a month or when needed. Any contractor working with any enterprise of the TNK-BP group may appeal to a conflict resolution commission by filling the complaint form downloadable from the company site at http://www.tnk-bp.ru/procurement/council/.
TNK-BP is transparently and consistently implementing its strategy towards more efficient interaction with its partners. Creation of regional councils and conflict resolution commissions in the regions of company activity was first announced at the first meeting of TNK-BP’s suppliers and contractors, which was held on September 24, 2010 in Moscow.
“The increasing intensity of work of conflict resolution commissions shows that they are indispensable for efficient interaction of the company with contractors and suppliers,” said Andreyi Davydenko, Secretary of the Corporate Council. “The growing number of contractor appeals demonstrates the confidence gained by the conflict resolution commissions by objective consideration and analysis of all disputable situations.”
