KAMAZ Starts in Prague
OREANDA-NEWS. June 06, 2011. A garbage truck on KAMAZ-4308 chassis became the only representative of Russia which today, June 3, starts among participants of the “Blue Corridor’ 2011” rally on the route: Prague - Leipzig - Wolfsburg - Berlin - Greifswald.
The medium-tonnage overloaded garbage truck Farid Minipac MK2 based on NGV KAMAZ-4308 chassis with rear loading is designed for mechanical and manual collection of solid wastes in cramped urban environments, their compaction, transportation and mechanized unloading in the places of disposal. The car is equipped with an imported engine compliant with Euro 5 standard and is especially useful for cities where large-size machinery is denied access.
Under the development program of the European Union countries, it is planned to start using alternative fuels, including methane, in 25% of vehicles by 2020. Already now, many foreign megalopolises open access to historic districts, as well as to schools and preschool educational institutions only for NGVs compliant with Euro 4 environmental standards and above. Thanks to KAMAZ designers’ developments, Russia doesn’t lag behind Europe in terms of technical support of gas-powered vehicles. OJSC KAMAZ can quickly reorientate its widest network of branded service offices in Russia and CIS countries for maintenance of NGVs.
