OREANDA-NEWS. June 03, 2011. All housing was built by private companies, according to the National Statistics Office. Over 75% of housing put into operation in the first quarter of 2011 are private houses – 361 objects of the total area of 57.3 thousand square meters.

About 74% of housing were built in the rural area – 498 objects of the total area of 56.4 thousand square meters, up 51% from January-March 2010. 129 objects were put into operation in the rural areas, up 86 percent from January-March 2010.

Over 74% of housing were put into operation in Chisinau – 452 apartments of the total area of 56.7 thousand square meters. In comparison with January-March 2010, these indicators increased by 79.4 percent. 74 apartments were put into operation in Moldova’s central zone, 67 – northern zone, 24 – southern zone, 10 apartments – in Gagauzia.
