OREANDA-NEWS. June 02, 2011. OJSC Uralkali ("Uralkali") and the Football Union of Russia have concluded a cooperation agreement in a document signed by the Union’s President Sergey Fursenko and Uralkali’s CEO Vladislav Baumgertner.

Under the terms of the agreement, Uralkali becomes the Official Sponsor of all Russian football teams, including the Russian national football team, until the end of 2011.

Uralkali places high importance on the support and development of Russian sports. Its major sport charity projects include the Russian Equestrian Federation and the Russian Kiokushinkai Karate Federation. Also, in 2011 Uralkali became the sponsor of Amkar Perm professional football club which plays in the Russian Premier League.

Football is extremely popular in Russia and Uralkali already has experience of its sponsorship at the Russian championship level. Now the Company has resolved to support Russian football on an international level and to contribute to further achievements by the Russian national football team”.
