OREANDA-NEWS. June 02, 2011. A new project of pulverized BF slag with capacity of 1.2 million tons annually has officially started in Qingshan district of Wuhan city, which is jointly constructed by WISCO Metal Resource Company and Singapore EnGro Corporation, reported the press-centre of WISCO.

As one of WISCO’s key projects for building “Green WISCO”, this project is a major measure to strive to develop Non-steel industry as well as implement cycle economy. The project uses material from iron making slag, adopts international most advanced equipments, thus transforms BF granulated slag into high value-added slag powder, which features cleaning and environmental protection, efficiency and energy saving, resource saving, and GHG emissions mitigation as a widely used new green building material. The construction of this project will enable Wisco enter into green special cement market at one swoop, not only works out problems of land occupying and contamination by slag, brings about well social and economic effects, but also increases slag’s added value to win rich economic return. 

Singapore EnGro Corporation has more than 20 years of experience on production and application of high performance pulverized slag. The alliance between two giants will favor both sides to exert advantages, ensure project to complete as soon as possible, realize multi-win through mutual efforts.
