OREANDA-NEWS. June 02, 2011. Self-organizing of residents in association of co-owners of block of flats will help not only to supervise quality of services and the fair price for it, but also to choose the competitive service provider. The Prime Minister Mykola Azarov declared this today during the expanded session of the Cabinet of the Minister at participation of the President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych.

The profile Ministry and vice Prime Minister in deadlines should develop offers on cooperation the Ministry of Regional Development, Construction and Communal Services and local communities in creation of conditions for development and activity of the qualified organizations of consumers of services - associations of co-owners block of flats and owners of individual apartment houses, - Mykola Azarov noted.

Mykola Azarov emphasized that creation of associations of co-owners block of flats and owners of individual apartment houses provides a possibility to residents to choose the competitive service provider, to apply energy savings technologies, to put meters and to save.

The Government today accepts a number of decisions which will remove obstacles to self-organizing citizens in associations of co-owners block of flats (in particular, will be solved the issue of the property right to the land) and will give mechanisms of the control of the communal organizations.
