Foreign Exchange Reserves of National Bank of Moldova Increase 0,2%
OREANDA-NEWS. June 02, 2011. Foreign exchange reserves of National Bank of Moldova amounted to USD 1 billion 878.83 million, an increase compared with the previous reporting period to USD 3.5 million (0.2%).
As at 13 May this year they were USD 1 billion 875.33 million, as previously reported, the foreign reserves of the NBM in April 2011 increased by USD 124.95 million (7%), reaching the end of the month, USD 1 billion 918.39 million, which is an absolute historic highs.
The previous maximum foreign exchange reserves of the National Bank amounted to USD 1 billion 902.69 million as at 22 April this year National Bank's foreign exchange reserves in the I quarter of 2011 increased by USD 75.74 million (4.4%), amounting to 31 March 2011 of about USD 1 billion 793.44 million, exceeding the figures of the previous month to USD 53.63 million (3.1%).
At the end of 2010 foreign currency reserves of NBM amounted to approximately USD 1 billion 717.69 million, an increase over the past year by 16%.
