OREANDA-NEWS. June 02, 2011. Number of Bank Vozrozhdenie SME clients grew by 33.2% during the year (comparing Q1 2011 results with the similar period of the previous year), reported the press-centre of Bank Vozrozhdenie.

“Historically we are aimed at working with SMEs. As practice shows business model of medium business is the most viable. Growth of this segment of our clients was the most impressive – more than 35% during the year. Small business which was heavily affected by crisis have also demonstrated their interest to bank services: number of small business clients grew by 33%”, — noted Lyudmila Goncharova, Deputy Chairwomen of the Management Board.

Bank Vozrozhdenie provides SME clients with full range of bank services such as different types of business financing, fund management, settlements and cash services, payroll projects, cards of the customs payment system, trade finance, transportation of valuables and acquiring.

“First of all high quality of services and individual approach helps us to attract our clients. We work over attractive terms for our products including overdrafts whose price for our clients in the first quarter of this year was 7-8% per annum in rubles”. — added Lyudmila Goncharova.

Bank Vozrozhdenie ranked 3d by volume of loans provided to SMEs in 2010, according to RBK rating. The Bank actively participates in the State SME Lending Support Program implemented by Russian bank for development, cooperates with Assistance Funds on lending to SMEs in many regions of its presence.

Loans to SMEs amounted to Rub 126bln as of the end of Q1 2011and comprised 52% of total loan portfolio. For the first months of the year loan portfolio before provisions grew by 9.4% versus 2.3 of the banking sector average. The growth of loan portfolio in Q1 was mostly due to programs of corporate lending. The greatest part of the loans is traditionally represented by the loans of enterprises of manufacturing and wholesale and retail trading sectors (26% and 26% respectively).
