KAMAZ Announces FY 2010 IFRS Results
OREANDA-NEWS. June 01, 2011. The managers of KAMAZ held a press conference for representatives of federal and regional media and exhibitors at the 12th International Specialized Show CTT’2011 (Construction Equipment and Technologies) which has opened in Moscow today.
Director of Corporate Finance of OJSC KAMAZ Elena Milinova addressed the reporters and experts accredited to the largest construction exhibition of the year. She spoke about the main results of the company’s activity in 2010, its targets for 2011 stated in the company’s business plan, and presented the Program of Strategic Development of OJSC KAMAZ till 2020.
2010 was a make-or-break year for post-crisis recovery of Russia’s economy and domestic demand for commercial vehicles. The Russian market showed 50% growth. The main achievement in 2010 is that KAMAZ managed to keep 47% share in the fast growing market. In 2010, the company’s sales amounted to 32.3 thousand vehicles, which is by 25% more than last years’ results.
In 2011, the sales of KAMAZ in all markets should increase by 6,000 trucks (+18.5%) and reach 38.3 thousand units against 2010. The company`s revenue will therefore increase from 73.8 billion rubles to 96.4 billion rubles (+30.6%). According to the results of the current year, KAMAZ expects to get a net profit of 660 million rubles against a net loss of 763 million rubles in 2010.
The key provision of the strategic development program for a period till 2020 is as follows: “KAMAZ intends to become an adaptive, efficient, global company”. The year of 2015 is named an interim critical point in it. KAMAZ plans to increase its sales to 70,000 units in 4 years and to 100,000 units in the last year of the period. Besides, the share of sales for overseas will increase from 20% to 30%. Such a change in the ratio of sales in Russia and abroad will enable the company to flawlessly perform its activities and finance its development using its own sources of funds. KAMAZ will invest quite a large sum for these purposes: 8.7 billion rubles in 2015; 12.6 billion rubles in 2020.
