OREANDA-NEWS. June 01, 2011. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov sees no reason to switch to barter in the calculation with Belarus in connection with the difficult financial situation in the neighboring country. The Head of Government said at the briefing during opening of the reconstructed polyclinic № 1 in Obolon district in Kyiv.

“Concerning transition to barter - I do not see any bases, as in carrying out of calculations with Belarus there were no problems. There are separate critical positions, first of all currency, but in area of performance of the external obligations Belarus behaves accurately enough. All deliveries on all foreign economic relations, under all contracts are paid”, - Mykola Azarov emphasized.

The Prime Minister stressed that according to him, the Belarusian foreign currency reserves allow us to perform foreign economic contracts, and therefore the issue of transition to barter in payments does not arise.

At the same time the Head of the Government noted, that Ukraine empathizes to neighbours and in complex situations is ready to provide to Belarus the help if necessary. "If necessary help, we will do it", - Mykola Azarov told.
