OREANDA-NEWS. June 01, 2011. LOCKO Bank representatives attended EBRD Annual Meetings in Astana; received a TFP Award EBRD is a key international partner for LOCKO Bank, cooperation under various business lines spans for a number of years, reported the press-centre of LOCKO Bank.

At a meeting with EBRD Financial Institution Group LOCKO Bank representatives discussed the current cooperation and plans to develop and broaden it. Notably LOCKO Bank is very active in EBRD’s Trade Facilitation Program (TFP) which is an excellent tool enabling the Bank to provide with convenient and beneficial financing solutions for its clients’ trade with counterparties from across the world. LOCKO Bank was recognized as the most active issuing bank in financing trade with Taiwan which reflects the growing part of South-East Asian transactions in the Bank’s trade finance portfolio.

The example of the Taiwanese deal structured and financed by LOCKO Bank was given in the TFP 2010 results presentation at the Award Ceremony in Astana as the type of transaction which fully meets the Program’s mission to extend horizon of foreign trade for mid-sized and small companies.In 2010 EBRD closed 489 TFP transactions in Russia, 47 out of them were with LOCKO Bank.

Traditionally a large number of international banks take part in EBRD’s Annual Meetings, and LOCKO Bank used this opportunity to hold more than twenty bilateral meetings with its major international bank-partners to present recent financial results, discuss existing business and its development in trade finance and other essential products.
