OREANDA-NEWS. May 31, 2011. The Handan Steel BD1 and BD2 housing mill of exceeding 800 ton in total weight self researched & developed by CISDI and manufactured by CISDI Heavy Industry Chongqing Branch were successfully delivered, reported the press-centre of MCC Limited.

Being the big mill of the domestic largest specification and the core equipment of the large scale heavy rail production line of Handan Steel, the roller diameter of the two mills reached Ф1350mm, the roller length was 2300mm, and the mill body net height was 8445mm.

The mill was complex in structure as compared with other metallurgical equipments, and it was featured by many form and position tolerance dimension to be controlled, many transmission and rotating parts such as hydraulic cylinder and bearing, linked piping, limited space and large quantity.

The quality control personnel and technicians actively carried out technology guidance and deepened into each detail and settled all kinds of problems encountered in the production process to ensure that the two mills passed joint inspection on April 10 and April 22 respectively.

Before this, the big mill house had been successfully erected at the construction site of Handan Steel, and each installation inspection data complied with design requirements.
