Average Annual Income Per Capita Makes EUR 1100 in Moldova

The EU representatives noted that, after previously marked a sharp decline of bilateral trade between the EU and Moldova by 30% in 2010, bilateral trade figures have improved significantly. Thus, the Moldovan exports to the EU increased by 12,8%, while imports from the EU grew by 27%. The EU remains the largest trading partner of Moldova with the share of more than half the country's foreign trade in 2010, last year the European Commission provided Moldova recommendations for the implementation of key reforms to begin negotiations on the Agreement on in-depth and comprehensive free trade agreement with EU. As it is noted in the EU, in 2007-2010. package of financial assistance to Moldova reached 209.7 million euros with an additional allocation of 16.6 million euros through Mechanism for promoting governance reform. In the 2008-2010. investment mechanisms through Neighbourhood Policy there were allocated about 35 million euros for Moldova, 7 projects in social, transport and private sectors.
Moldova also attended 4 regional projects implemented through the Neighbourhood Investment mechanisms for a total of 39 million euros to support energy and private sectors, including small businesses. As it is noted in the EU, the new National Indicative Programme for Moldova for 2011-2013. was adopted in May 2010 and has a budget of 273.1 million euros.
In December 2010, Moldova also signed an agreement with the European Commission providing for the allocation of 90 million euros in macro-financial assistance in the form of grants.
