OREANDA-NEWS. May 30, 2011. Following the results of 2010, experts of Engineering Centre (EC) of the head office of Ingosstrakh OJSIC conducted insurance engineering risk-audit of 756 objects of various functional purposes (growth made 31,9 percents, compared with 2009). Among them: metallurgical, energetic, mining, car assembling and petrochemical enterprises; logistics complexes; office, business and trade centers, and others. These objects are accepted for insurance and reinsurance, also by affiliate companies, as well as for methodological support providing when settling complex damages.

During the insurance risk-audit, company’s Engineering Centre experts identify and evaluate risks, develop special provisions and recommendations on preventing and minimization of dangerous accidents for support of insurers and underwriters. On the regular basis, under agreement with company’s clients, Engineering Centre arranges and conducts monitoring of already insured objects with the purpose of forehanded response on the change of insured risks measure and providing methodological support to Ingosstrakh OJSIC clients in implementation of proposed recommendations on risks prevention and minimization. EC employers take part into settlement of all complex damages, visiting the place of occurrence and advising on certain issues, which require special knowledge of company’s employers and independent survey agents, involved in damages settlement.

Commenting on the year results, Sergey Zadorozhko, Director of Engineering Centre of Ingosstrakh OJSIC, noted: „Ingosstrakh OJSIC Engineering Centre, year by year, increasingly improves its performance, strengthening leadership position among similar existing departments in insurance, reinsurance and broker companies. Reports, prepared by our experts, are considered by foreign reinsurance companies sufficient for qualitative insurance underwriting conduction. Own developed and successfully implemented in practice methods of engineering evaluation of insurance risks for objects of various functional areas is not least important”.

In 2010 new department was established in the Engineering Centre of Ingosstrakh OJISC, which, within the framework of partner relations with steering committee „Sochi 2014” and according to instruction of the Russian Federation Government, conducts risk-monitoring of Olympic infrastructure objects under construction.

It should be reminded that, Engineering Centre of Ingosstrakh OJSIC was established in 2005 as independent structural department for conduction of engineering examinations of objects, accepted for insurance and reinsurance, also by affiliate companies of Ingosstrakh OJSIC, located on the territory of the Russian Federation, near abroad and far abroad countries, as well as for methodological support providing when settling damages.

Since 2007, the positions of risk-managers, with executive subordination to Engineer centre, have been instituted in regional centers of Ingosstrakh OJSIC. They passed additional training and qualifying certification in EC and obtained the right to conduct independently engineering risk-audits. At the end of 2010 with the purpose of performance efficiency increase, risk-managers of regional centers have been incorporated with the Engineering Centre.
