OREANDA-NEWS. May 30, 2011. President Viktor Yanukovych requests the Government to submit proposals on the optimization of utility tariffs.

"I am sure we will have a very hard talk on this subject soon. I have set the task to the Government," he said during a presentation of the Kyiv Development Strategy until 2025.

Addressing Prime Minister Mykola Azarov, President Yanukovych expressed hope that the relevant meeting and proposals will be prepared "before the end of this session, this political season”, before the beginning of July.

"I am already tired of repeating. I once again, if not for the last time, warn you and the entire housing and communal management block: you must prepare serious proposals on major changes and approaches in our country regarding this issue (optimization of the tariff policy). I expect an answer from you," he said.
