Kazatomprom, Chemieanlagenbau Chemnitz Sign Cooperation Memorandum
OREANDA-NEWS. May 27, 2011. Chairman of Management Board of NAC Kazatomprom Vladimir Shkolnik is taking part in Kazakhstan-Germany Forum "Impulses for Economic Co-operation", reported the press-centre of KASE.
The Berlin (Germany) forum is attended by a host of financiers and industrialists from Germany and Kazakhstan.
Philipp Rosler, the Vice-Chancellor and Federal Minister of Economy and Technologies of Germany and Aset Isekeshev, Deputy Prime-Minister and Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan opened the forum.
Chairman of Management Board of NAC Kazatomprom made a speech on new ways of co-operation between Germany and Kazakhstan concerning Kazatomprom.
V. Shkolnik told about innovations regarding production of uranium and rare metals, presented a new technology for production of sulphuric acid.
He also spoke a great deal on innovative processing of brine solution emerging during water desalination at the Mangyshlak Atomic Enery Plant. This is going to be an important element for development of the chemical cluster in Aktau. Result of the brine processing will be numerous products necessary for oil, mine and processing enterprises. In particular, hydrogen dioxide is an important element for production of uranium and gold.
At the forum Kazatomprom and Chemieanlagenbau Chemnitz GmbH have signed a Memorandum setting terms and conditions for creation of joint Kazakh-German innovations, break-through technologies and new science-intensive production in atomic, chemical and metallurgy sectors of both Kazakhstan and Germany and other countries.
