OREANDA-NEWS. May 26, 2011. The MILEX expo is an important marketing instrument that helps establish and extend business contacts, Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Rumas said at the solemn opening of the MILEX 2011 expo in Minsk.

According to the Vice-Premier, MILEX is among the most significant expos in Belarus that has earned a status of a serious international forum over the ten years of its existence.

“The expo is aimed to showcase the intellectual and manufacturing potential of Belarus’ defense industry, to become a ground for testing most ambitious and promising projects,” Sergei Rumas said.

He emphasized that the expo has not lost its appeal over the years. In 2011 it has brought together 150 companies from Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Armenia. A collective booth of the CSTO member states has also been arranged at the expo.

Sergei Rumas believes that such forums offer a unique opportunity to study the market and find new partners and investors.
