Aeroexpress Wins International Global AirRail Award 2011
OREANDA-NEWS. May 25, 2011. Aeroexpress was awarded the prestigious Global AirRail Award 2011, the first international award dedicated to the air-rail market, and organized by AirRail News, the industry communication group. The awards ceremony was held as a part of the international industry conference The Future of AirRail — Innovations & Modern Technologies (Riga, Latvia, 18-19 May 2011).
Aeroexpress was selected as a winner in the ‘Air-Rail Link of the Year’ category, the main category of the awards, achieving the highest score among such international companies as MTR Corporation Ltd (Hong Kong), KLIA Express (Malaysia), Arlanda Express (Sweden) and Flytoget (Norway).
The award applications were judged against certain criteria in electronic form. The finalists were then selected in each category, including 25 companies from 14 countries around the world. The winners were announced at the awards ceremony.
The judges are prominent experts in the air-rail field: Ad Rutten, President, ACI Europe; Andrew Sharp, General Director, International Air Rail Organisation (IARO); Paul Simmons, General Manager, EasyJet; Richard Brown, Managing Director, Northstar Consultancy; William W. Millar, President, American Public Transportation Association (APTA) and others.
The Marketing Director of Aeroexpress LLC, Dmitry Khazov, received the award. “The main aim of our activities is to provide services that meet the highest international requirements and standards”, he said. “Strong growth in the number of passengers travelling on Aeroexpress confirms the high confidence among customers in the quality of services provided by the company. This prestigious professional award means recognition from our colleagues, and proves that we have selected the right course.”
