OREANDA-NEWS. May 25, 2011. The volume of uranium production in the Republic of Kazakhstan in the first quarter of 2011 made up 4443.7 tons (the growth if compared with the similar 2010 period is 9%), reported the press-centre of KASE.

The volume of production of NAC Kazatomprom made up 2,543.4 tons or 100 % according to the plan.

NAC Kazatomprom consolidated net income for the first quarter of 2011, according to the preliminary data, is KZT13,695.2 mln or by 2 times higher if compared with the similar 2010 period. Such growth of incomings is conditioned by the increase of uranium products selling and the sharp increase of wholesale prices at the beginning of the year.
