The Ministry of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Communal Services expects to the end this year to increase the number of condominium associations to 14.5 thousands. The First deputy minister of Regional Development, Construction and Communal Services Yuriy Hivrych said this during the video conference on the state and development of condominiums.

Yuri Hivrych said that the establishment of condominium associations is one of the main tasks during the reforms of the integral Housing and Communal Services. "Today we established 12 037 condominiums" - he said, noting that year-end it is planed to established more 2.5 thousands of such associations, so the total number of condominiums will reach to 14.5 thousands.

"Now for four months of our work we have created only 700. Unfortunately, the pace of the establishment of condominiums it is slowed, but we believe that now is time for such condominiums comes, and the rate will accelerate" - Yuriy Hivrych said.

According to him, larger number of condominium associations it is planed to establish next year. "We have to reach 20 000 condominiums and in 2014 inclusive will have to be 45 000 condominiums, - Deputy Minister said, adding that it would be about 70% of all apartment buildings.

Yuriy Hivrych noted that the most active on the formation of such associations working in Kharkiv, Odessa, Lviv and Dnipropetrovsk.
