Government of Ukraine Plans to Provide 5% GDP Growth in 2011
OREANDA-NEWS. May 24, 2011. In 2011 the Government plans to provide 5% GDP growth and reduce the budget deficit to 3%. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said this at the meeting with former Polish President, Chairman of the Supervisory Board YES Aleksander Kwasniewski.
According to Mykola Azarov during work of this Government we were able to stabilize the financial situation: in 2010 GDP increased at 4.2%, the budget deficit was 5%.
"This year we have set even more ambitious task: to reach the level of GDP growth around 5%, reduce the budget deficit to 3%", - the head of the Government told.
The Prime Minister noted that this year the Government should pay the biggest debt in recent years - about 11 billion dollars. "However, the situation is absolutely driven. This allowed us to begin implementing a series of reforms".
Mykola Azarov informed that last year the Government implemented the Tax, Judicial, Budget reform, in this year started pension reform by sanding this bill to the Parliament. "This is not easy.
