EBRD Raised Forecast on Moldova GDP
OREANDA-NEWS. May 24, 2011. It is said in the published review of the European bank of reconstruction and development on developing countries of East and Central Europe, and also Central Asia. Within the previous forecast of the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development forecast of growth of gross domestic product of Moldova in 2011 was from 3,5 % to 4,5 %.
The European Bank of Reconstruction and Development notices that the economy of Moldova continues to be restored after crisis, and growth of gross domestic product in 2010 has made almost 7 %. Restoration of the Moldavian economy is supported by growth of export and remittances from abroad.
As the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development Bank marks, the Moldovan economy is subject to influence of weak growth at the basic trading partners of republic and uncertainty of inflow of remittances. Experts of Eurobank consider that growth immediate prospects in Moldova are limited by remaining political uncertainty of the country. Gross domestic product of Moldova in 2010 has grown by 6,9 %, having made in monetary terms 71,8 billion leis, having blocked registered in 2009 6 percent reduction and having returned practically on the pre-crisis level.
It is necessary to notice that the International monetary fund and the Ministry of Economy of Moldova have raised recently the forecast of growth of a GDP of Moldova for 2011 also by 0,5 percentage points - from 4,5 % to 5 % in connection with continuation of restoration of the Moldavian economy which has returned on the pre-crisis level, and also the further growth of key indicators of economic activities of Moldova in the I quarter of 2011 For 2012 of the IMF predicts growth of GDP of Moldova also by 5 % instead of the former forecast in 4,8 %.
In turn, Vladimir Filat has noticed that the forecast of growth of GDP of the republic for the current year at level of 5 % is pessimistic, and the country government counts on achievement of larger growth of economy following the results of this year. It has reminded that in 2010 growth of GDP of Moldova by 3 % was predicted, however in a reality following the results of a year of GDP of the country has grown on 6,9 %.
