Innovation Initiatives of TATNEFT Distinguished with Awards
OREANDA-NEWS. May 24, 2011. TATNEFT was awarded the "Best Company of the Year for invention and innovation" Cup and the Honorary Diploma of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Tatarstan at the forum of inventors and innovators of Tatarstan held in Kazan, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.
Gold badges and diplomas of the Society of Inventors and Innovators of the Republic of Tatarstan were awarded to Nail Ibragimov, First Deputy General Director for Operations - Chief Engineer of TATNEFT; Rais Khisamov, Deputy General Director - Chief Geologist of TATNEFT; Ravil Ibatullin, Director of TatNIPIneft, and Vladimir Kuneevsky, Head of Engineering Systems and Equipment Office of TatNIPIneft.
The Forum arranged pursued the aim of revival and intensification of mass invention and innovation movement, as well as promoting scientific and technical creativity in Tatarstan. It was attended by Ildar Khalikov, Prime Minister of Tatarstan, Ivan Bortnik, General Director of the Foundation for Promotion of Small Enterprises in the scientific and technical field and Chairman of the Association of innovative regions of Russia, Boris Simonov, Head of the Federal Service for Intellectual Property, Patents and Trademarks, and Ivan Bliznets, Rector of the Russian State Academy of Intellectual Property.
Summarizing the results of invention and innovation activities in Tatarstan in 2010, Ildar Khalikov called TATNEFT a locomotive of this movement, noting that thanks to such companies the level of the inventive and innovational movement in the Republic was not only maintained but was also fairly well developed.
Nail Ibragimov, First Deputy General Director for Operations - Chief Engineer of TATNEFT, in his report to the plenary forum session shared the experience and the results of invention and innovation activities in the Company. He stressed the importance of innovative technologies application in the conditions of depleted fields and involvement of hard-to-recover reserves in the development. So, if by the time of recovering the first billion tons of crude oil (1971), TATNEFT received 462 copyright certificates, and 779 certificates by the time of producing the second billion tons (1981), then their number reached 3,931 pieces by the year of production of the third billion tons of crude oil (2007). In aggregate the Company received 4,705 patents for inventions and utility models as of the beginning of 2011.
In 2010, more than 9,400 innovators and inventors of the Joint Stock Company introduced 10,516 rationalization proposals and inventions into production with a total economic effect of 4 billion 894 million rubles. These significant results were achieved, primarily due to conservation and augmentation of innovative traditions and their adaptation to market conditions. As of today, the Company has established a system of managing the results of intellectual activities, including planning and execution of research and development operations, rationalization and inventive activities, experimental work implementation, introduction of new developments in production, etc.
Systematic efforts applied by TATNEFT with regard to inventive and rationalization activities are adequately assessed every year. Considering the results of 2010, it should be noted that 270 applications for alleged inventions were forwarded to the Federal Institute of Industrial Property of the Russian Federation and 238 patents were granted. A Group of authors were awarded the State Prize of the Republic of Tatarstan in the field of science and technology.
10 projects of TATNEFT Group of Companies were recognized winners of the Republican contest "Top 50 Innovative Ideas". TATNEFT won eight gold, three silver and three bronze medals, and was awarded a cup and a diploma at the Moscow International Salon "Archimedes - 2011". 4 developments of the Company were awarded diplomas by the results of the Republican contest "The Best Invention of the Year". 9 Company’s professionals were named the laureates and the winners of the contest "Young Innovator and Inventor of the Republic of Tatarstan".
