Astrakhan Region Presents Top-Priority Projects to Vnesheconombank
OREANDA-NEWS. May 23, 2011. Issues of encouraging investment activity in the Astrakhan region as well as establishing cooperation within public private partnership were discussed at a conference at Vnesheconombank.
In order to implement the Agreement signed between Vnesheconombank and the Astrakhan region in September of 2009, a presentation of five projects offered to be implemented on the territory of the Astrakhan region in possible partnership with the Bank was held. The total value of the projects’ presented is 28.8 bn rubles, with Vnesheconombank’s possible participation share being 21.1 bn rubles. The projects are designed to develop infrastructure of tourism, housing and communal services and agro-industrial complex. As a result of implementing the projects budget revenues in the budgets of all levels are expected to amount to more than 4.4 billion rubles, 5 thousand new jobs are planned to be created.
The conference resulted in working out effective mechanisms for cooperation between Vnesheconombank and the Astrakhan region.
In attendance of the conference were Vnesheconombank’s employees, representatives of executive authorities and business of the Astrakhan region.
At present, the project to construct a CCP-CHP with an installed capacity of 44 MW and thermal capacity of 26 Gcal/h is being implemented in partnership with Vnesheconombank (the city of Znamensk, the Astrakhan region, the borrower – CJSC GK-4. The project is aimed at developing power infrastructure.
The total value of the project is 2.8 bn rubles, with Vnesheconombank’s participation share being 2.1 bn rubles.
