OREANDA-NEWS. May 23, 2011. "For Lafarge Ciment Moldova it was year of restoration", - general director Lui de Sambjusi. At press conference he has informed that at sales volume decrease in 2010 (512 million leis) in comparison with 2009 (540 million leis) by 5 %, the enterprise managed to get profit at a rate of 34,3 million leis (USD2,65 million).

Whereas in 2009 losses in 62,5 million leis have been registered. Profitableness was reached doe to optimisation of expenses and improvement of productions. Lafarge Ciment remains to one of the largest tax payers, having transferred into the budget in 2010 56,1 million leis. As Lui de Sambjusi has noted, in 2010 three new products of series Cemplast which are well apprehended by the market have been started and by the end of 2011 it is expected that these products will make 10 % of volume of output Lafarge Ciment.

At press conference it has been noticed that the general meeting decision, for payment of dividends to shareholders allocates 9,5 %. As it was reported earlier, Lafarge group is the world leader in cement manufacture - has got Rezina cement works in 1999; today to it holds 95,31 % of shares. The volume of investments into the enterprise has made 40 million euro. At the enterprise 333 persons work, the average salary in 2010 has made 8189 leis (USD 700).
