OREANDA-NEWS. May 23, 2011. Moldova has increased volume of purchase of the electric power by 3,8 % - to 1 billion 102,62 million in kw-h in I quarter 2011 in comparison with the same period of 2010.

As National agency on regulation in energy sector has informed, the greatest volume of the electric power in January-March, 2011 was bought by company RED Union Fenosa (unites the Chisinau, Central and Southern electrodistributive networks) - 814 million in kw-h. Company RED Nord has got 179,38 million in kw-h of the electric power, company RED Nord-Vest - 93,93 million in kw-h, and the independent consumer cement works Ciment-Lafarge (Rubber) have bought 15,31 million in kw-h.

It is necessary to notice that Moldova (without Transnistrai region) makes on own capacities about 30 % to the electric power necessary for it. Missing volumes are bought from the Moldavian HEPS, and also from the Ukrainian company "Pauer-trade".
