Uralmashplant to Supply Second Mill Housing to Schurovskiy Tsement
OREANDA-NEWS. May 20, 2011. Uralmashplant signed a contract for supply of a housing for mill model 4х13,5 complete with covers and liners (130 tons of equipment in total) to Schurovskiy Tsement (Kolomna, Moscow oblast). The delivery date is November, 2011. This is already the second set for Schurovskiy cement making plant (the first one was supplied in January, 2010).
The contract was awarded in the result of a bid with participation of Russian and Ukrainian machine-building companies. Uralmashplant offered a competitive price, optimal delivery terms and high-quality product confirmed by the operation of the first mill supplied.
The new mill like the first one will be installed instead of an obsolete mill in compliance with the plane providing for an upgrade of the plant mill department. On target, Schurovskiy Tsement plans to replace one mill more.
Schurovskiy Tsement JSC is the oldest cement-making plant in Russia (founded in 1870) which is currently owned by the international cement-making company Holcim, world leader in production of cement and various construction materials. In 2007, the management of Holcim Company decided to carry out a comprehensive upgrading of the plant to implement the modern "dry" production method. Schurovskiy Tsement produces two types of product: general-purpose construction cement and white cement. The plant exports its products to Poland, Czech Republic, Mongolia, Bulgaria, Guinea and other countries.
