OREANDA-NEWS. May 19, 2011. The heating season in Minusinsk was completed by virtue of instruction by the city executive. Currently, Minusinsk CHP is proceeding with heating networks cool-down and gradual discontinuation of supply of heat to the city enterprises and residential buildings. CHP is switching over to summer mode of operation: during the non-heating season the plant will supply hot water to consumers and perform scheduled repair works.

Then, during May 23 – June 9 (as per schedule equally approved of by the city administration) one will undertake hydraulic and thermal testing of the heating networks delivering heat media from Minusinsk CHP to individual households and enterprises within the city. In connection therewith supply of hot water to all Minusinsk CHP consumers will be shut off.

Heating network hydraulic testing is a mandatory stage of heating season completion and summer repair works commencement. Subjected thereto are trunk heating networks, the target consisting in checking their strength and tightness and identifying defects and frays. Management of housing and utility companies and owners of individual residential houses were warned of the necessity to disconnect their inner heat consumption systems from trunk heating networks to prevent their rupture.

Following testing results, one will eliminate the defects detected and plan additional works to be performed during the summer season. On June 9 the heating networks will be re-put into service.

On May 14 scheduled capital repair of boiler unit БКЗ-420/140 was launched upon at Minusinsk CHP. The works will mostly deal with the boiler heating surfaces replacement. The repair works will be performed by JSC “Sibenergoremont”, a specialized enterprise for repair of energy facilities.

Parallel to repair of the boiler unit one will be busy with turbine unit ПТ-80 warranty repair. Last year this turbine underwent reconstruction to increase power capacity. The turbine unit has operated during the whole of the heating season without a single stop. However, insignificant failures and malfunctions did occur that are to be eliminated and fixed in the course of scheduled repair. The works on the turbine will be performed by JSC “UralEnergoremont”, a specialized enterprise that carried out the 2010 reconstruction.

All the boiler unit and turbine repair works will be completed by June 27, 2011. They will necessitate no interruption of consumer hot water supply. Hot water supply will be provided in regular mode.
