OREANDA-NEWS. May 19, 2011. Otkritie, one of the largest financial groups and leading providers of high frequency trading solutions in Russia, has appointed a Global Head of Applications for the Group, reported the press-centre of Otkritie.

Dmitry Shatsky will be responsible for strategic planning and development of the firm’s software solutions. The overarching aim is to ensure the pace of the Group’s performance and the efficiency of its operating activities determines the lifecycle of applicable software solutions across the company.

Mr Shatsky has previously held various positions at RTS Stock Exchange. His roles have included Head of Software Development, COO, First Deputy Chairman and Deputy CEO. Prior to this he lead the Automation Department’s Software Unit at the Eastern European Investment Bank. Mr Shatsky has experience in managing the full life-cycle and software development for all RTS Stock Exchange trading, clearing and information services. He has earned several awards marking his personal contribution to the successful operations of the RTS Stock Exchange.

Mr Shatsky graduated from the Mozhaysky Military Aerospace Engineering Academy in 1982, majoring in Automated Information Processing and Analysis, which qualified him as an engineering mathematician.
