OREANDA-NEWS. May 18, 2011. PwC was declared the winner of the Ninth Annual National IT Leader Award for 2011. The project "Creating a high-tech IT infrastructure for a new PwC office in Moscow" was included in a special nomination category. Dmitry Inshakov, PwC Russia IT Director, took part in this event and accepted a trophy on behalf of the firm, reported the press-centre of PwC.

The award winning innovations include a centralised system of internal audio and video communications that allow the required sound and video sequence to be broadcast on any of several dozen screens. PwC TV programmes are therefore readily available to both staff and visitors.

A printing system that requires authorisation (the use of an electronic pass) before documents will actually print was also highlighted. The system ensures the efficient use of the firm's resources and the confidentiality of printed documents. The PwC office also provides wireless access to the corporate network from any part of the building and thanks to a dynamic workstation management system, the firm has saved a significant amount of office space.

Dmitry Inshakov, PwC Russia IT Director, noted:
"I’m very happy that the IT Leader Award Expert Council 2011 recognized the innovative solutions implemented in the new PwC office. We won the award even though there isn’t actually a nomination category for professional advisory firms on the list of nomination industries. We have every right to be proud of our Moscow office. Our success belongs not only to the IT Department but to all the corporate services and business units that participated in the creation of our new office."
