OREANDA-NEWS. May 17, 2011. The EBRD plans to invest 30 million euros in the development of Belarusian processing industries, Agriculture Minister of Belarus Mikhail Rusy told reporters.

“The EBRD will provide 30 million euros. We are in talks; they have visited us twice. We are working on projects that we could offer for joint implementation. Money will be channeled into modernization, these are direct investments,” Rusy said.

Belarus considers a few dairy companies for joint projects.

Rusy also said European investors were interested in Belarusian food processing. He said Czech capital was involved in the creation of a cheese line in Vitebsk, and Campina was in talks with Belarus over a production line to make cream.
