OREANDA-NEWS. May 17, 2011. Belarusian foreign trade deficit amounted to USD 2.355 billion in January-March 2011, compared to USD 681.4 million in January-March 2010, according to the website of the National Bank of Belarus.

Overall turnover of commodities and services reached USD 20.199 billion in January-March 2011, up 52.4% on the year.

Exports of commodities and services rose 41.9% to USD 8.922 billion, and imports increased 61.8% to USD 11.277 billion.

Commodity trade deficit reached USD 2.819 billion in January-March 2011 (USD 7.762 billion of exports and USD 10.58 billion of imports), and service trade surplus amounted to USD 464.2 million (USD 1.161 billion of exports and USD 696.6 million of imports).
