Estonian GDP Grows by 8% - Flash Estimate
OREANDA-NEWS. May 17, 2011. Flash estimates released by Statistics Estonia show a year-on-year GDP growth of 8 percent for the first quarter of the 2011.
The main driver for the growth, as has been the case for the past several months, was an increase in manufactured goods exports. The manufacture of radio, TV and communication equipment, as well as that of metal products, added the most value to the economy, Statistics Estonia wrote in a statement.
Overall export of goods was up 53 percent in the first quarter compared to the same period of last year, according to preliminary data.
