OREANDA-NEWS. May 17, 2011. Transnistria has put up for privatization the Dubossari tobacco fermenting factory at the initial price of 1 million 836.7 Transnistrian rubles (USD 178.3 thousand). According to the privatization conditions, the factory’s new owner is to repay the enterprise’s bills payable exceeding 2.98 million Trasnnistrian rubles (USD 290 thousand), according to the regional Ministry of Economy.

A new owner also has to invest at least USD 240 thousand within 3 years in the capital construction, reconstruction, expansion and technical re-equipment. A new owner is also to ensure the increase in the number of workplaces to the level, which is enough to resume the factory’s production activity without further reduction by the end of the first year of investment.

Potential purchasers are to pay an advance on the respective account of the Ministry of Economy of Transnistrian in the amount of USD 5 thousand before applying for participation in privatization. The deadline for the applications is May 26. The Dubossari tobacco fermenting factory has been standing idle for the last 15 years.
