Freight One Hauled More Than 750,000 Metric Tons of Construction
OREANDA-NEWS. May 16, 2011. Since the beginning of 2011, the traffic of construction materials in gondolas belonging to Freight One to stations on the Black Sea coast increased by more than 50% over the same period of 2010.
The construction materials being hauled are intended for the construction of rail infrastructure, including a second set of tracks on the Tuapse-Adler segment, the first and fourth tunnel of the Adler — Esto-Sadok combined rail and automobile road, Adler Train Station and other structures in and around Sochi. The increase in traffic can be attributed to Freight One’s balanced rate policy.
The company’s average rates for hauling inert construction materials in the direction of Sochi are currently 7% less than the total cost of hauling freight in state-owned cars (Rate List 10—01+ the fee for using cars during the periods of loading and unloading). A total of 22 circular routes are being used to haul the inert construction materials. The company is focusing particular attention on hauling inert construction materials using circular routes from Labinskaya, Mostovskaya, Belorechenskaya and Andreyedmitrievskaya stations in the Belorechensk node to Vesyoloye and Sochi stations on the Black Sea coast.
