Turkmenistan Presents Development Prospects of Avaza
OREANDA-NEWS. May 13, 2011. The 39th Meeting of the Interstate Council for Standardization, Metrology and Certification is being held in the Avaza national tourism zone.
On the second day the international forum participants continued to discuss the aspects related to the implementation of the short term action plan and the strategy of the further activities of the Interstate Council. The heads of the working groups for standardization, metrology, certification and accreditation presented the reports at the section meetings and discussed a number of issues which the Council members believed to enable to implement more effectively the existing potential of cooperation in priority areas.
In particular, the Programme on development of interstate energy efficiency and energy conservation standards, the Programme of work on interstate standardization of the food products for the period till 2015, which included over 700 aspects each and other documents were harmonized during this meeting.
Discussing various aspects of short and long term collaboration within the Interstate Council, the meeting participants reaffirmed once again the willingness to expand and strengthen the constructive dialogue, which had been established in recent years promoting mutually advantageous international cooperation in the priority spheres of national economies as well as integration processes.
The specific proposals were put forward in this context by the international partners of the Interstate Council and other guests invited to attend the meeting. The heads and high-ranking officials of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), the UNECE Working Party on Technical Harmonization and Standardization Policies, the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), the European Committee for Standardization and the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (СЕN-СЕNЕLЕК), the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, the national agencies, committees, bureaus and institutions specializing in the field of standardization, metrology, certification from Austria, Germany, Spain, India, Lithuania, Poland, Turkey, France, Czechia presented the reports on the work experience and achievements in various areas, the impacts of large-scale joint projects.
The presentation of the Avaza national tourism zone was arranged in the conference hall of the Nebitchi Hotel for the participants of the international meeting taking place on the Caspian seaside. It gave foreign guests an insight in the history, the present and the future of the new seaside resort that had the brilliant prospects for becoming one of the world’s tourism ‘gems’. In particular, the construction projects to be launched in Avaza in the near future, including the Congress Palace, five-star hotels, recreation and health improvement, exhibition, trade, cultural and entertainment centres, comfortable cottages, sport facilities, were presented. An essential aspect of the Avaza concept is the ecological aspect, and therefore particular importance is attached to the tree planting and landscape campaigns in the region.
