Belarus May Raise Farm Produce Procurement Prices

In 2011, procurement prices were raised 27%-43%.
He said one reason behind the probable increase was the difference between the procurement price and retail price.
He believes buckwheat, malt barley and sugar beet prices must be increased.
Uniform brewing barley procurement price has been set at 550,000 Belarusian rubles (Br) per tonne for 2011, up 41% on the year.
Milling barley procurement price has been raised 27.5% to 491,000 rubles per tonne, and rape seed price has been raised 25% to 1 million rubles per tonne.
Certified sugar beet procurement price has been set at 140,000 rubles per tonne, up 41.4% on the year. Buckwheat procurement price has been raised 27.6% to 1.726 million rubles per tonne.
